Student Self-Medication Behavior in Stress Handling

Changing learning patterns from senior high school student to college status is difficult, and each individual's response varies, some of which cause stress. Factors that stress are internal external, external factors consist physical, conflict, emotional, behavioral conditions. In comparison, the physical environment, work community family economic legal problems. The burden life heavy impacts such as feeling dizzy, nauseous, ulcers, difficulty sleeping. Sometimes causes a person take self-medication overcome these uncomfortable symptoms. This study aims determine characteristics early-level students level at one State Universities East Kalimantan Province. used qualitative descriptive design on 121 students. Using questionnaire through cross-sectional approach with purposive sampling technique. results showed mild much 30.58%, moderate 56.20%, severe 13.22%. number who did was more than those not provide treatment for symptoms, 79.34%.
